Finasteride is an effective treatment for male pattern baldness which is a hereditary condition that affects almost 50% of men around the world. Whilst it can start as early as age 20, men generally don't begin to notice any form of excessive hair loss until they reach their mid to late thirties. It is impossible to reverse male pattern baldness without undergoing transplant surgery, but it is possible to slow the process or stop it completely using treatments such as Finasteride.
